Shipping Policy

By placing an order with SBX Performance, you acknowledge and agree to the shipping terms below. Please review this policy carefully before completing your purchase.

Order Processing & Fulfillment

SBX In-Stock Items Most in-stock orders ship from New York within 1–4 business days after payment clears. Orders placed on weekends or holidays begin processing the next business day. Tracking information is sent once the shipment is processed by the carrier.

Typical U.S. transit time after shipment is approximately 3–7 business days, but all delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Direct-Ship / Brand Warehouse Orders Some products ship directly from the manufacturer, distributor, or overseas warehouse. These orders do not follow SBX’s normal 1–4 business day handling window and are processed according to the supplier’s schedule, warehouse capacity, and local time zone.

Orders may remain marked as “unfulfilled” while the supplier prepares the shipment. Additional transit time, customs processing, and warehouse delays may apply.

Backorders & Lead Times

Backorders and extended production lead times are common in the performance automotive industry, especially for platform-specific, imported, or limited-production items.

  • Estimated lead times are provided by the manufacturer or supplier and may change without notice.
  • SBX Performance does not guarantee supplier ETAs, production timelines, or restock dates.
  • If an item is backordered, we will provide the best available estimate when possible.
  • Backorder updates depend on the supplier and may be limited.

Shipping Speed Disclaimer

All Delivery Timelines Are Estimates Only SBX Performance is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, manufacturers, warehouse congestion, weather, or other events outside our control.

Delays may occur due to:

Carrier delays
Weather events
Customs inspections
Peak shipping seasons
Supplier processing delays
Inventory discrepancies
Freight scheduling issues
Address verification holds

Shipping charges are non-refundable due to carrier delay, supplier delay, or estimated delivery dates not being met.

Order Changes, Cancellations & Address Accuracy

  • All cancellation and order change requests are subject to review and approval by SBX Performance.
  • Orders must be confirmed as not yet shipped, not released to the warehouse, and not submitted to the supplier before cancellation can be approved.
  • Orders already packed, released to a warehouse, submitted to a manufacturer, or transferred to a shipping carrier cannot be canceled.
  • Address changes cannot be guaranteed after an order is placed.
  • The customer is responsible for entering the correct shipping address at checkout.

Cancellation Fees

Approved cancellations may be subject to a 20% cancellation / restocking fee to cover non-recoverable costs, including payment processing charges, supplier penalties, administrative work, and handling.

Refund Timing If a cancellation is approved, refunds are issued after shipment status and supplier status are verified. Please allow 3–7 business days for refund processing once approved.
Non-Refundable Charges Shipping Protection fees, completed freight bookings, carrier intercept fees, address correction fees, and other non-recoverable charges are not refundable.

Tariffs, Duties, VAT & Import Fees

Customer Responsibility All customs duties, tariffs, VAT, brokerage fees, import taxes, and other government-imposed charges are the sole responsibility of the customer unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.

These fees are not included in product pricing or standard shipping rates unless specifically shown during checkout. SBX Performance does not control customs decisions or import charges.

Refused Shipments

If a shipment is refused due to unpaid duties, taxes, customs charges, or brokerage fees and is returned to SBX Performance or the supplier, any refund may be reduced by outbound shipping, return shipping, handling fees, supplier penalties, and any other non-recoverable costs.

Gift Marking Policy SBX Performance will not mark packages as gifts or intentionally undervalue declared shipments. Requests to do so are illegal and will be denied without exception.

Free shipping exclusions may include oversized items, freight shipments, direct-ship brands, imported items, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska if applicable, and international orders.

Oversized & Freight Shipping

Large, heavy, fragile, or oversized items such as exhaust systems, wheels, body panels, aero components, and other specialty parts may require freight or oversized-carrier service.

Rate Adjustments Freight and oversized shipping charges shown at checkout are estimates when applicable. If a rate adjustment is required after checkout, SBX Performance will contact you for approval before shipment.

If a required freight or oversized shipping adjustment is declined, the order may be canceled and subject to applicable cancellation, payment processing, or supplier fees.

International Shipping

  • International shipping charges are paid by the customer.
  • International orders do not qualify for free shipping promotions unless explicitly stated.
  • Transit times may vary significantly due to customs and local carrier processing.
  • All duties, taxes, VAT, tariffs, and brokerage fees are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Canadian customers should email sales@sbxperformance.com before checkout for an accurate quote when needed.

Hawaii & Puerto Rico

Shipping carriers often apply higher rates and surcharges to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. These charges may not always calculate accurately at checkout.

If a rate adjustment is required, SBX Performance will contact you for approval before shipment. If the adjustment is declined, the order may be canceled and subject to applicable non-recoverable fees.

Special Order & Made-to-Order Items

  • Special Order and Made-to-Order items may have extended lead times.
  • These items may ship directly from the manufacturer or supplier.
  • These items may be final sale once submitted for processing.
  • Availability, production timing, and ETAs are controlled by the supplier.
Final Sale Notice Once a Special Order or Made-to-Order item has been submitted to the supplier, it may no longer be canceled, modified, returned, or refunded unless required by law or approved in writing by the supplier.

Proof of Delivery & Transfer of Risk

The carrier’s tracking record is the controlling record of delivery for every order. Any one or more of the following constitutes conclusive proof of delivery to the address entered at checkout:

  • A carrier delivery scan with date and time stamp
  • Carrier GPS coordinates placing delivery at or near the shipping address
  • A carrier-captured delivery photograph showing the package at the delivery location
  • A carrier signature record, where signature confirmation was applied
Confirmed Delivery Completes Your Order Once the carrier marks your package “Delivered” to the address entered at checkout — with or without a delivery photograph — SBX Performance has fulfilled your order in full and risk of loss has transferred to you. No refund, replacement, or store credit will be issued for any package reported missing after a confirmed delivery scan. A carrier delivery photograph showing the package at your address is, on its own, sufficient proof of delivery.
Your Responsibility It is the customer’s responsibility to enter a complete, accurate, and secure shipping address and to arrange safe receipt of the package. SBX Performance is not responsible for losses caused by an incorrect, incomplete, or unsecured delivery address provided at checkout. SBX Performance reserves the right to require carrier signature confirmation on higher-value orders at no additional charge.

Lost, Stolen, Damaged or Delayed Shipments

Shipping Protection Recommended SBX Performance is not responsible for packages lost, stolen, or damaged in transit unless Shipping Protection was added at checkout. Customers who decline protection must file claims directly with the carrier.

SBX Performance may assist with documentation when possible, but we do not control carrier investigations and cannot guarantee claim outcomes. The two scenarios below are handled differently — please read both.

Lost in Transit — No Delivery Scan

If tracking never reached “Delivered” (lost, stuck, or mis-routed by the carrier), the package is treated as lost in transit.

How It’s Handled If Shipping Protection was purchased, file a Navidium claim; if it was declined, the claim must be pursued directly with the carrier. A police report is not required for a package that was never delivered.

Stolen After Delivery — Police Report Mandatory

If a package shows a confirmed carrier delivery scan and/or delivery photograph but is reported stolen (“porch piracy”), it is treated as theft after delivery.

Police Report Required for Any Claim No stolen-after-delivery claim — including any Shipping Protection claim — will be reviewed, refunded, or replaced without an official police report. To be eligible for review, the customer must provide all of the following:

• An official police report filed with the customer’s local law enforcement agency, including a case / report number, agency name, and date filed;
• A report identifying a delivery address that matches the address on the order; and
• A signed statement attesting the package was not received and has not been recovered.

Filing a false police report or a false claim of non-receipt is a crime. SBX Performance reserves the right to deny any claim and to report fraudulent claims to law enforcement and the card network.

Carrier-Confirmed Deliveries

Tracking numbers are provided for shipments when available. A delivery scan, timestamp, GPS confirmation, photo confirmation, or similar proof from the carrier constitutes valid proof of delivery to the shipping address entered at checkout (see Section 11).

SBX Performance is not responsible for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier but later reported missing. Customers should contact the carrier, their local authorities, and Shipping Protection if purchased.

Damaged in Transit

Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label. Save all packaging until the claim is resolved; discarding packaging may void the claim.

Shipping Protection with Navidium

SBX Performance offers optional Shipping Protection powered by Navidium at checkout for 3% of the order total. This protection is offered by a third-party provider and must be actively selected by the customer.

Shipping Protection is optional and must be actively selected at checkout. By declining Shipping Protection, the customer acknowledges and agrees that SBX Performance is not liable for any packages that are lost, stolen, damaged, or misdelivered after the shipment has been transferred to the carrier.

All risk of loss passes to the customer upon carrier acceptance of the shipment. Customers who decline Shipping Protection must file any claims directly with the shipping carrier.

By completing a purchase without Shipping Protection, the customer accepts full responsibility for any shipping-related issues that occur after dispatch, including but not limited to loss, theft, damage, or delivery errors.

With Shipping Protection Protection may cover packages lost in transit, stolen after delivery, or damaged during shipping — subject to Navidium’s terms, approval standards, and the documentation requirements in this policy, including a police report for any stolen-after-delivery claim.
How to File a Claim If protection was purchased, use the Navidium Claims button in the website footer and provide your order number, a description of the issue, and any required supporting documentation. Stolen-after-delivery claims require a police report with a case number (see Section 12); a carrier delivery photo showing the package at your address is grounds to deny a “not received” claim.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes Filing a payment dispute or chargeback for a package with confirmed carrier delivery — instead of following the claim process in this policy — is considered illegitimate (“friendly fraud”). SBX Performance will contest any such dispute with full delivery evidence, including the carrier tracking record, delivery scan, GPS data, delivery photograph, and signature record where applicable, and reserves the right to recover its costs and refuse future service.
Protection Fees Are Non-Refundable Shipping Protection fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations, returns, refusals, chargebacks, or exchanges.
