RETURN / REFUND POLICY + SHIPPING INFORMATION

SBX Performance Shipping Policy & Disclaimer

Thank you for choosing SBX Performance LLC. We’re committed to a transparent, reliable, enthusiast-focused buying experience. Please read this policy before placing an order.

By completing a purchase on sbxperformance.com, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.


A) RETURNS / REFUNDS (READ FIRST)

1) Returns (Eligible Items Only)

  • Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery and require an approved RMA from SBX Performance.

  • Items must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, and returned in original packaging with all parts/hardware/documentation included.

  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to SBX error or a confirmed defect/incorrect item.

  • SBX Performance does NOT return intitial shipping charges unless the return is due to SBX Error

2) Restocking Fees

  • Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee up to 20%, depending on the product, condition, and vendor policy.

  • Original outbound shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law or due to SBX error.

3) Non-Returnable / Final Sale Items

The following are final sale and not eligible for return/refund:

  • Special Order / Direct-Ship / Made-to-Order items once submitted/confirmed with the supplier

  • Any opened, used, installed, or modified items

  • Clearance/open-box/overstock items (unless stated otherwise)

  • Gift cards

  • Hazardous materials (flammables/gases/liquids)

  • International shipments (unless otherwise required by law)

  • Returns sent without an approved RMA

4) Kits & Combos

  • Kits/combos must be returned in full. Partial kit returns are not accepted.

5) Damaged / Defective / Incorrect Items

  • Customer must inspect shipments upon delivery. Any damage, defect, missing items, or incorrect item must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and packaging documentation.

  • If covered under manufacturer warranty, SBX may assist with the warranty process, but SBX does not control warranty approval timelines or outcomes.

6) Cancellations

  • Any approved cancellation is subject to a 20% cancellation/restocking fee (covers non-recoverable processing and supplier/warehouse charges).

  • Orders that have shipped cannot be canceled.

  • Special Order / Direct-Ship / Made-to-Order items may be final sale once submitted/confirmed and may not be cancelable.

B) SHIPPING INFORMATION

1) Order Processing & Fulfillment (READ FIRST)

SBX fulfills orders in two ways:

A) SBX In-Stock Items (Ships from SBX – New York)

  • Handling time: Most in-stock orders ship within 1–3 business days after payment has cleared.

  • Tracking: Tracking is emailed when the order ships.

  • U.S. delivery estimates: Typical delivery is 3–7 business days after shipment (estimates only, not guaranteed).

B) Direct-Ship / Special Order Items (Ships from Brand Warehouse)

Some products ship directly from a brand/manufacturer warehouse, including international warehouses. These orders:

  • Do not follow the 1–3 business day in-stock handling time

  • Are processed on the brand’s business days and local time zone

  • May have additional transit time and customs/carrier delays outside SBX’s control

  • May appear as “unfulfilled” while the brand processes the shipment

Direct-Ship / Special Order Brands (may ship internationally, including UK / Malaysia / Taiwan):

  • Funk Motorsport

  • AIRTEC Motorsport

  • Infinity Design

  • MST Performance (Taiwan)

  • AXIS Parts

  • PracWorks

Important: All shipping and delivery timelines are estimates only. SBX does not guarantee ship dates or delivery dates.


2) Backorders & Lead Times

  • Backorders are common in the performance industry—especially for Civic Type R parts where demand is high and many brands run limited production.

  • SBX Performance does not promise exact ETAs. All lead times provided are manufacturer estimates and may change without notice.

  • If your item is backordered, we’ll email the best estimated timeline we’re given (not guaranteed).


3) Tariffs, Duties, VAT & Import Fees (Important)

Customers are solely responsible for any customs duties, tariffs, VAT, brokerage fees, import taxes, or other charges imposed by customs authorities or shipping carriers.

SBX Performance LLC is not responsible for any import-related fees, taxes, tariffs, holds, seizures, delays, or customs decisions.

Tariff policy update (effective 1/25/2026)

  • Orders placed on or after 1/25/2026: applicable tariffs/import charges will be calculated and added at checkout when available.

  • Orders placed before 1/25/2026: SBX Performance is not responsible for tariffs, duties, VAT, brokerage, or any import-related charges assessed during delivery.

Import duties / tariffs: SBX Performance is not responsible for any import duties, tariffs, taxes, or brokerage fees. Due to limitations with certain accelerated checkout options (such as express or third-party payment apps), import fees may not always be calculated or charged at checkout. If applicable, these fees will be assessed by customs and emailed to you separately at the time of import clearance.

SBX Performance will not mark shipments as gifts or undervalue items—requests to do so are illegal and will be denied.


4) Domestic Shipping Rates (United States)

  • Orders up to $399.99: $18.99 flat rate

  • Orders $400 and up: FREE shipping (exclusions apply)

Free shipping exclusions: oversized/freight items, international imports, certain brands (including direct-ship/import brands), shipments to Hawaii or Puerto Rico, and all international orders do not qualify for free shipping.

If an order qualifies for free shipping but incurs additional costs due to size, weight, or destination, SBX Performance may absorb a portion of the cost at our discretion. Any remaining amount due will be shown at checkout or confirmed prior to shipment.


5) Oversized & Freight Shipping (U.S. Only)

Some items require freight shipping due to size/weight. Any applicable freight costs will be shown at checkout when possible. If a post-checkout adjustment is required, we will contact you for approval before shipping.

Typical freight examples (estimates):

  • Exhaust Systems (standard kits): $39.99

  • Specialty Exhausts (Spoon/Mugen/Fujitsubo special orders): $199.00

  • Small Freight (wheels or similar): $99.99

  • Medium Freight (doors/roofs/multiple wheel/tire sets): $129.99

  • Large Freight (pallets/roll cages): $350.00

  • XL Freight (oversized/multi-pallet): $699.00


6) Local Pickup

Local pickup is available by appointment only. Pickup/meet-ups may be arranged in Southern New York / Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Please contact us in advance to schedule.


7) International Shipping

  • We ship to most countries worldwide.

  • International shipping is paid by the customer and does not qualify for free shipping promotions.

  • Import duties/taxes/VAT/tariffs/brokerage fees are the customer’s responsibility.

  • International delivery may be delayed due to customs inspections or carrier processing.

Canadian customers: Please email sales@sbxperformance.com prior to checkout for an accurate shipping/freight quote.


8) Hawaii & Puerto Rico

Although Hawaii and Puerto Rico are U.S. territories, most carriers apply higher shipping rates. Additional charges may apply and may not always calculate accurately at checkout. If an adjustment is required, we will contact you for approval before shipping.


9) Special Order & Made-to-Order Items

Products marked “Special Order” or “Made-to-Order”:

  • May have extended lead times

  • May ship directly from a manufacturer/warehouse

  • Cannot be canceled, refunded, or returned once submitted/confirmed

  • Are considered final sale


10) California Emissions Disclaimer

Some products are intended for off-road or racing use only and may not be CARB-compliant. By purchasing such products, the customer agrees:

  • They are responsible for ensuring legal use and compliance

  • SBX Performance makes no representation of emissions legality unless explicitly stated

  • SBX Performance is not liable for misuse or legal consequences arising from non-compliance


11) Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Shipments

SBX Performance LLC is not responsible for packages lost, stolen, or damaged in transit unless shipping protection was selected at checkout.

Customers must file claims directly with the carrier. SBX Performance will assist with documentation when possible but cannot guarantee claim outcomes.

If the product is covered under manufacturer warranty, SBX Performance may assist with the warranty claim process. Warranty approvals and timelines are determined by the manufacturer.

6) Order Cancellations

Approved cancellations may be subject to a 20% cancellation fee to cover processing and supplier costs.

Orders that have already shipped cannot be canceled and must follow the return process after delivery if eligible.

Special Order / Direct-Ship / Made-to-Order items may be considered final sale once submitted to the supplier.

International shipments may be subject to import duties, tariffs, VAT, brokerage fees, or other government-imposed charges.

These fees are not included in the purchase price unless explicitly shown at checkout and are the sole responsibility of the customer.

SBX Performance has no control over customs decisions or fees imposed by government authorities.

If a shipment is refused due to unpaid customs fees and returned to SBX Performance or the supplier, any refund issued may be reduced by shipping costs, handling fees, supplier charges, and other non-recoverable expenses.

SBX Performance does not mark shipments as gifts or undervalue packages.

D) Special Orders & Production Lead Times

Backorders and production delays are common in the automotive performance industry.

Products marked Special Order or Made-to-Order may have extended processing times and may be final sale.

E) Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Shipments
