Return & Refund Policy

By placing an order with SBX Performance, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. Please review this policy carefully before completing your purchase.

Returns & Refunds

Return Eligibility

  • Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of confirmed delivery.
  • An approved RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is required before anything is sent back.
  • Items must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, and returned in original packaging with all included hardware, accessories, and documentation.
  • Returns sent without an approved RMA may be refused or rejected.
  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to confirmed SBX Performance error or a verified defect.

Refunds, Shipping & Restocking Fees

Important Refund Terms Refunds apply to the product price only. Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable under all circumstances unless the return is the direct result of SBX Performance error.
Restocking Fee All approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%, depending on the product, condition of the return, and supplier or manufacturer policy.

If a return is approved, the refund amount will be reduced by any applicable restocking fee, original shipping charges, return shipping costs, supplier return charges, and any other non-recoverable fees.

By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees that shipping charges are non-refundable and that approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%.

Non-Returnable & Final Sale Items

These Items Cannot Be Returned The following items are final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless required by law.
  • Special Order, Direct-Ship, and Made-to-Order items once submitted to the supplier.
  • Select brand products, including but not limited to J's Racing, Fujitsubo, Infinity Design, Axis Parts, Airtec, Hondata, and other premium or supplier-restricted brands. 
  • Opened, installed, used, test-fitted, altered, or modified items.
  • Clearance, overstock, closeout, or open-box items.
  • Gift cards.
  • Hazardous materials, including flammable liquids, gases, and similar restricted items.
  • International orders unless otherwise required by law.
  • Returns sent back without an approved RMA.
  • Navidium Shipping Protection fees under any circumstance.
Check the Product Listing Before Ordering If a product is labeled “Special Order,” “Direct-Ship,” “Made-to-Order,” or “Final Sale,” it is not returnable. Customers are responsible for reviewing the product listing before purchase.

Kits & Product Bundles

Complete kits, bundled products, and package deals must be returned in full. Partial returns from bundles or kits are not accepted.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

48-Hour Reporting Window Any damage, shortage, defect, or incorrect item must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Clear photos of the item, packaging, shipping label, and any visible damage are required.

Claims submitted after 48 hours may be denied. If an issue is covered under manufacturer warranty, SBX Performance may assist with the claim process, but final approval and claim timelines are determined solely by the manufacturer.

Order Cancellations

  • Approved cancellations may be subject to a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Orders that have already shipped cannot be canceled.
  • Special Order, Made-to-Order, or supplier-submitted items may be final sale once processing begins.
  • Navidium Shipping Protection fees are non-refundable if an order is canceled.
To Request a Return or RMA Email sales@sbxperformance.com with your order number, reason for return, and photos if applicable. Do not ship anything back until you receive written RMA approval.

Shipping Information

How We Fulfill Orders

SBX In-Stock Items Most in-stock items ship from New York within 1–4 business days after payment clears. Tracking is provided once the shipment is processed.
Direct-Ship / Manufacturer Warehouse Orders Some items ship directly from the manufacturer or supplier, including warehouses located outside the United States. These shipments follow the supplier’s processing timeline, not SBX’s normal handling window.

Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by manufacturers, carriers, weather, customs, supply chain issues, or other factors outside our control do not qualify for refunds of shipping charges.

Local Pickup

Local pickup is available by appointment only in the Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 area. Contact us in advance to schedule pickup.

International Shipping

  • We ship to many countries worldwide.
  • International shipping charges are paid by the customer and do not qualify for free shipping promotions.
  • All duties, tariffs, VAT, brokerage fees, import taxes, and customs charges are the customer’s sole responsibility.
  • International transit times may be delayed by customs inspections or carrier processing.
  • Canadian customers should email sales@sbxperformance.com for a shipping quote before checkout.

Hawaii & Puerto Rico

Additional shipping charges may apply and may not be calculated accurately at checkout. If an adjustment is required, we will contact you before shipment for approval.

Tariffs, Duties & Import Fees

Customer Responsibility All customs duties, tariffs, VAT, brokerage fees, import taxes, and any other government-imposed charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. SBX Performance does not control these fees and is not responsible for them.

Tariff Policy Update — Effective 1/25/2026

  • Orders placed on or after 1/25/2026 may have applicable tariffs calculated and added at checkout when available.
  • Orders placed before 1/25/2026 remain the customer’s responsibility for any tariffs or import-related charges assessed during transit or delivery.

Refused Shipments

If a shipment is refused due to unpaid customs fees, import charges, or duties and is returned to SBX Performance or the supplier, any refund may be reduced by shipping charges, handling fees, return fees, supplier penalties, and other non-recoverable costs.

Gift Marking Policy SBX Performance will not mark packages as gifts or undervalue shipments. Requests to do so are illegal and will be refused.

Special Orders & Lead Times

Backorders and production delays are common in the automotive performance industry, especially with platform-specific and limited-production parts.

  • Estimated lead times are provided by manufacturers and may change without notice.
  • SBX Performance does not guarantee supplier or manufacturer ETAs.
  • If an item is backordered, we will provide the best available estimate when possible.
  • Special Order and Made-to-Order items may not be cancelable, returnable, or refundable once submitted to the supplier.

Lost, Stolen & Damaged Shipments

Shipping Protection Recommended SBX Performance is not responsible for packages lost, stolen, or damaged in transit unless Navidium Shipping Protection was added at checkout. Customers who decline protection must pursue claims directly with the carrier.

Carrier-Confirmed Deliveries

Tracking information is provided for all orders when available. A carrier delivery scan, timestamp, GPS confirmation, or equivalent proof from the carrier constitutes valid proof of delivery to the shipping address entered at checkout.

SBX Performance is not responsible for packages marked delivered by the carrier but later reported missing. Customers should contact the carrier, Navidium if protected, and local authorities where appropriate.

Shipping Protection with Navidium

SBX Performance offers optional Shipping Protection powered by Navidium at checkout. This protection is offered by a third-party provider and must be actively selected by the customer.

With Navidium Protection Protection may cover packages lost in transit, stolen after delivery, or damaged during shipping, subject to Navidium’s terms and claim approval process.
How to File a Claim If protection was purchased, use the Navidium Claims button in the footer of our website and provide your order number, a description of the issue, and any required documentation.
Protection Fees Are Non-Refundable Navidium Shipping Protection fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations, returns, refusals, or exchanges.

California Emissions Disclaimer

California Residents — Read Before Purchasing Some products sold by SBX Performance are intended for off-road or racing use only and may not be CARB-compliant or legal for use on public roads in California.
  • The customer is solely responsible for ensuring legal use and compliance with all local, state, and federal emissions regulations.
  • SBX Performance makes no representation regarding emissions legality unless explicitly stated on the product page.
  • SBX Performance is not liable for misuse, emissions violations, or legal consequences arising from improper installation or use.
  • By purchasing, the customer acknowledges and accepts all applicable off-road use and emissions compliance responsibility.
