SBX Performance – Checkout Terms & Conditions Agreement
By checking the box at checkout and completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.
Performance Products Disclaimer
Products sold by SBX Performance are aftermarket performance components. Installation of performance parts may affect vehicle reliability, drivability, emissions compliance, and manufacturer warranties.
Professional installation and appropriate ECU calibration are strongly recommended for any performance-related modification, including but not limited to intake systems, exhaust components, airflow upgrades, forced induction systems, fuel system upgrades, and engine management tuning.
SBX Performance shall not be held liable for any damages, failures, drivability concerns, emissions violations, mechanical issues, loss, or other consequences resulting from:
- improper installation
- improper tuning or calibration
- misuse, abuse, or negligent operation
- racing or competition use
- operation outside manufacturer specifications
The purchaser assumes all risk and responsibility associated with the installation and use of performance products.
Off-Road / Motorsport Use Only
Many products sold by SBX Performance are intended for off-road, racing, or competition use only unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Certain products, including but not limited to catless downpipes, race exhaust components, emissions-related components, ECU tuning devices, and engine management modifications, may not be legal for use on public roads or highways and may violate emissions laws in certain jurisdictions.
By purchasing from SBX Performance, you acknowledge and agree that:
- you are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations
- SBX Performance does not guarantee street legality unless a product is explicitly identified as road-legal or CARB-compliant
- SBX Performance is not responsible for inspection failures, emissions violations, citations, fines, penalties, or any other legal consequences related to product use
California Proposition 65 & Emissions Compliance
Certain products may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm and may include California Proposition 65 warnings.
Products that are not CARB-certified are not legal for use on pollution-controlled vehicles in California and are intended for off-road or racing use only.
The purchaser assumes full responsibility for compliance with emissions regulations and vehicle laws in their jurisdiction.
Shipping & Order Processing
SBX In-Stock Inventory
Items stocked at the SBX Performance warehouse typically ship within 1–4 business days after payment processing. This is just an estimate.
Direct-Ship / Manufacturer Fulfillment
Certain products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses and may follow the supplier’s processing timelines, business days, and local time zone.
Delivery timelines provided at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Shipping delays may occur due to:
- carrier delays
- customs processing
- weather events
- peak shipping seasons
- third-party warehouse operations
Tracking information is provided once the shipment has been processed and scanned by the carrier.
Direct-ship suppliers may include, but are not limited to, Funk Motorsport, AIRTEC Motorsport, Infinity Design, PracWorks, MST Performance, and AXIS Parts.
International Duties, Tariffs & Import Fees
International orders may be subject to import duties, tariffs, VAT, customs clearance fees, brokerage charges, or other government-imposed fees depending on the destination country.
These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost unless explicitly stated at checkout and are the sole responsibility of the customer.
SBX Performance has no control over customs charges and cannot determine or guarantee the amount that may be assessed.
If a shipment is refused due to unpaid customs duties, tariffs, VAT, or import fees and the package is returned to SBX Performance or the overseas manufacturer, the order will not be eligible for a full refund. Any refund issued may be reduced by:
- original shipping costs
- return shipping charges
- warehouse handling fees
- supplier charges
- payment processing fees
- other non-recoverable costs
SBX Performance does not mark shipments as gifts or intentionally undervalue packages.
Order Accuracy & Fitment Responsibility
Customers are responsible for verifying all order details before completing a purchase, including shipping address, vehicle year, model, trim, product selection, product compatibility, and fitment.
SBX Performance is not responsible for incorrectly placed orders resulting from customer error.
Backorders & Special Orders
Backorders are common in the automotive performance industry. Manufacturer estimated arrival times are estimates only and may change without notice.
Products labeled as Special Order, Direct-Ship, Made-to-Order, or Backordered may have extended lead times and may be final sale depending on supplier policies.
Order Cancellations
Cancellation requests may be subject to a 20% cancellation or restocking fee where cancellation is permitted.
Once an order has been submitted to a supplier or manufacturer, it may no longer be eligible for cancellation, refund, or modification.
Products categorized as Special Order, Direct-Ship, or Made-to-Order are final sale once submitted to the supplier.
Submitting a chargeback or payment dispute does not cancel an order and does not override these terms.
Returns & Refunds
Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery with prior authorization.
Returned products must be:
- unused
- uninstalled
- in original packaging
- returned with all hardware and documentation
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20% depending on the item and its condition.
Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to SBX Performance error or a verified product defect.
Returns require prior authorization by contacting sales@sbxperformance.com. Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
Pricing Policy
SBX Performance strives to maintain accurate pricing and product listings; however, errors may occasionally occur.
SBX Performance reserves the right to:
- correct pricing or listing errors
- cancel orders affected by pricing inaccuracies
- issue refunds for unavailable items
Orders are not considered accepted until payment has been processed and the order has been confirmed and/or shipped.
Privacy & Payment Security
Customer information is used solely to process orders, provide customer service, and improve the shopping experience.
SBX Performance does not sell customer data to third parties.
Payment information is securely processed through third-party payment providers.
Agreement to Terms
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms listed above.
This checkout agreement supplements SBX Performance’s Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
Use of this website and purchase of any product constitutes acceptance of these policies.
