SBX Signature PVD Black Grade 5 Titanium Turbo Inlet Bolts | M8 x 1.25 x 25mm | Sold as a Pair

These are the bolts that attach the turbo inlet pipe to the turbo on the FL5. Nobody thinks about them until they're trying to back one out of a hot engine bay and it's fighting them the whole way. Factory hardware sits right in the heat and corrodes, and once the head starts to round off you're into a much worse afternoon than you planned on.

These are machined from Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium and finished in our satin PVD black. Titanium doesn't rust or seize the way plated steel does, so they come out as easily as they went in the next time you're in there, whether that's an inlet pipe swap, a turbo blanket, or just chasing a boost leak. They're lighter than the steel bolts too. Nobody's buying titanium hardware for the weight savings on two bolts, but it's a real difference and the finish looks right next to a black inlet pipe.

Sold as a pair, which is what one inlet pipe takes.

Product Features

  • Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V aerospace grade titanium
  • SBX Signature satin PVD black finish
  • M8 x 1.25 thread
  • 25mm length
  • Direct replacement for the factory turbo inlet pipe bolts
  • Won't corrode or seize like plated steel factory hardware
  • Excellent resistance to heat, moisture, road salt, and chemicals
  • Sold as a set of 2, enough for one inlet pipe

Fitment

2023+ Honda Civic Type R FL5, turbo inlet pipe to turbo.

Check your own hardware before ordering if you're running an aftermarket inlet pipe, since some of them use a different bolt length than the factory piece.

Installation

Hand start both bolts so you don't cross thread the turbo housing. Use anti seize rated for titanium on the threads. Torque to the factory specification for the inlet pipe fasteners and don't guess at it, titanium threads into aluminum doesn't leave you much room for error. Skip the impact gun on final install, it'll mark up the PVD finish and it's very easy to overshoot torque on a fastener this small.
