PRL Motorsports 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R FL5 Matte Carbon Fiber Turbocharger Inlet Pipe Kit

The stock turbocharger inlet pipe on the FL5 Type-R restricts airflow before it reaches the compressor. PRL Motorsports designed this kit to eliminate that bottleneck with a larger-diameter, two-piece inlet system that bolts directly in place of the factory pipe.

The kit uses a cast aluminum inlet piece that matches the turbocharger compressor opening at 64mm ID, then transitions to an 80mm OD (78mm ID) matte carbon fiber crossover pipe. PRL states this configuration provides over 50% more airflow volume compared to the stock inlet pipe, with improved bottom-end power and faster turbo spool. Three high-temp 4-ply silicone couplers and seven 304 stainless steel interlocking worm clamps handle all connections.

The matte carbon fiber finish is designed to match and complement other carbon components in the FL5 engine bay. This is a direct bolt-on kit that fits all 2023+ FL5 variants, including right-hand drive and international models. No ECU calibration is required. Important: this inlet pipe is only compatible with the PRL High Volume Intake and will not work with the stock airbox.

• 80mm OD / 78mm ID titanium crossover pipe: This is the largest inlet pipe available for the FL5. The matte carbon fiber construction is lightweight and gives the engine bay a clean, race-inspired appearance.

• No ECU calibration required: Install and drive. No retune or recalibration needed.

• Direct bolt-on fitment, all 2023+ FL5 variants: Fits every FL5 Type-R, including RHD and international models. Works with all factory fitment turbochargers.

• High-temp 4-ply silicone couplers and 304 stainless steel clamps: Three couplers and seven interlocking worm clamps are included. Built for sustained high-temp use.

Is this compatible with the stock intake?

No. This kit is only compatible with the PRL High Volume Intake. It will not work with the factory airbox or other aftermarket intakes.

Do I need a tune after installing this?

No. PRL confirms no ECU calibration is required.

What is the difference between this and the titanium version?

The specs and fitment are the same. The difference is the crossover pipe material. This version uses a matte carbon fiber pipe, while PRL also offers a titanium crossover pipe option. Both deliver the same airflow improvement and use the same cast aluminum inlet piece, couplers, and clamps.

Will this fit RHD or international FL5 models?

Yes. PRL lists fitment for all 2023+ FL5 variants, including right-hand drive and international models.
